The speaker application is CLOSED (but feel free to fill out the application, we throw events all year!)
Share your knowledge and talents with us! With five days of programming and four different tracks, there are abundant opportunities to add your expertise to Freelance Business Week Denver.
Do you have great marketing strategies? Terrific time-saving tactics? Business wisdom or tax strategies? Self-care solutions? Maybe you’ve made some mistakes (haven’t we all?), and you’d like to share what you learned from them. Tell us what you have in mind, and why it’d be great.
Our organizing team will determine if we can work you into the week’s offerings. If so, we’ll provide you with a location and market your event. On your big day, we’ll have a host at your venue to welcome you and introduce you to the attendees to kick off your session. You’ll also get a free ticket and discounts for your friends.
A few things to keep in mind as you contemplate your presentation:
- Each day has a theme. Monday is about Intention and Inquiry—what folks want to get out of the week and out of their business. Tuesday is all about Tech and Tools. Wednesday we are Taking Care of Business and Ourselves (the hard stuff like contracts and taxes, as well as self-care). Thursday is about Leveling Up, refining our pitch and getting ready to promote ourselves. Friday is about bringing all we’ve learned together and Making Things Happen.
- We have four tracks, for different sorts of freelancers: Startup, Established, Nomad, and Artist/Creative. (Some people will pursue more than one track.)
- In your application you’ll be asked to choose a format that best suits you and your presentation: workshop, panel, fireside chat, or talk. (Descriptions are in the application.)
- Our goal is to provide an awesome experience for our attendees that is fun and educational, and that builds the freelancer community in Denver and beyond. All presentations and talks should be strictly non-promotional. We want attendees to learn about you and from you without being sold to.
Read more about the themes and tracks you might fit in. Don’t worry if you don’t fit the mold. These are a framework, not a guide. Bring your authentic self!
Our selection committee will review all the applications, and then our coordinator will reach out to you, either way, to let you know the status of your submission. Thank you for your interest!
