SEPT 30, 2019 – Intentions + Inquiry

Monday
This is where we set our intentions for the week and for leveling up our freelance experience. We’ll identify our brand or the name of a new product. We’ll inquire within ourselves and with each other to better understand what we want to get out of this week and the future.

Ignite Freelance is an evening of having fun, getting inspired, and forging stronger connections with your fellow freelancers. Each talk last for exactly five minutes, with 20 slides that auto-advance every 15 seconds. The experience is dynamic, informative, and highly entertaining. This is an event you do not want to miss.

OCT 1, 2019 – Tech Tuesday

Tuesday
Tech Tuesday is all about learning what tools are out there to help your business thrive. Get demos and test-drive the latest and greatest business tools. We’ll have representatives showing off their wares all day.

OCT 2, 2019 – Taking Care of Business and Yourself

Wednesday
Mid-week is when we take on the hard stuff. Taxes, lawyers, incorporation, state laws, contracts, insurance, and all the other terrible things no one wants to bother with, but everyone wishes they did. Not to fear! We will also focus on taking care of ourselves and each other through yoga, massage, and meditation. We’ll find out how to stay healthy, both physically and mentally, while on our own. We’ll learn ways to overcome stress and transform challenges and conflicts into healing and growth.

It’s time to take what you’ve learned and implement it! Today we’ll put together our pitch, get our headshots, and get confident promoting our best qualities. We’re putting the pieces together and working it.

Professional stylists and makeup artists will be at the ready to gussy you up properly for photos and videos for your website, social media, and anywhere else you want to shine. We’ll have professional photographers and videographers on hand to capture you in all your glory. And, oh yeah—we’ll help you craft your elevator pitch so you’ll be able share exactly what you have to offer.

Amy’s very winding path to achieving graphic designer girl boss status at Amy Darling Design began when she wanted to have the flexibility to be a part of her nieces’ lives. She also wanted to work on print and digital projects in more varied industries. Her enthusiasm for color palettes knows no bounds and she hopes to bring that enthusiasm to Freelance Business Week and meet amazing people in the process.
